Alexa to help EV owners find a charging station – Review Geek
#Alexa #owners #find #charging #station #Review #Geek Welcome to Alaska Green Light Blog, here is the new story we have for you today:
Amazon wants to help EV owners say goodbye to range anxiety. Later this year, Alexa will be able to direct you to any electric vehicle charging station in the United States. All you have to do is ask, “Alexa, find an electric vehicle charging station near me,” and your virtual assistant will navigate to the nearest one.
There are more than 150,000 public charging stations in the United States. And now Amazon has partnered with one of the nation’s largest fast-charging networks, EVgo, to help EV owners find them — no matter where they are. Alexa can even help you pay for your top-up. Just say “Alexa, pay my charge” when using an EVgo public charging station.
Amazon hasn’t released any firm details on when this new feature will roll out, other than “later this year.” And for now, at least, the new charger finder will only be available to EV owners in the United States.
Range is one of the most important things to consider when buying an electric vehicle. If you live in an area with a lot of charging stations, you shouldn’t have to worry too much. There are around 53,000 charging stations in the United States. But as more come online over time, this is becoming less of an issue as EV adoption rates increase. Knowing where they all are is vital for any EV owner.
