Rolling Stone magazine recently released its revised list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. The list contains the who’s who of the music industry. However, Celine Dion’s name didn’t make it, which seemed to upset her fans.
The Canadian singer’s fans took to the streets in front of Rolling Stone’s headquarters to protest with pickets and slogans. Dion’s fans chanted “Rollins Stone is Stoned” as they slammed the magazine for snubbing their favorite singer.
Julie Snyder led the demonstration and even told TMZ that they want Celine to be recognized and apologized by the magazine. It seems the magazine takes this protest seriously, as the editor came out to speak to the protesters and listen to their leads while also explaining to them how the list came about.
It’s nice to see how many fans Celine Dion has gained over the years. However. It is highly unlikely that the protest will produce any result as the list will take into account several conditions that will not be thrown out just to let a person on the list.
