“I’m very proud and very happy to be here,” Romeo said in a clip released on the Brentford Website. “I came here from the start to keep fit in the off-season. Then came the chance to be loaned here and I’ve never been so excited.”
Romeo will join his new team-mates at Brentwood’s reserve team, where they will play in the Premier League Cup and overseas games.
Romeo made 20 appearances for Inter II in the MLS NEXT Pro League last season, contributing 10 assists – the most in the league – and two goals. David is co-owner of Inter Miami.
“It’s been a fun season [in the USA] and there have been a lot of ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to coming here and seeing what I can do,” added Romeo. “I think it’s great that we have the opportunity to play at different levels, both abroad and here.”
Romeo is the second child of David and Victoria. They are also parents to sons Brooklyn, 23, and Cruz, 17, and daughter Harper, 11.
