Eminem is a legend in the music industry or in the rap business. He does everything to offer his listeners an experience that is exemplary in the truest sense of the word. Eminem also turned down a huge offer to perform at last year’s World Cup.

Eminem’s longtime friend 50 Cent recently made an appearance on Big Boy Neighborhood to promote the second season of his popular TV show BMF. During the call, the G-Unit entrepreneur opened up about how he and Eminem were offered $9 million to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 50 said he took $1 million and left the rest for Eminem, but Eminem declined.

50 Cent went on to say that for anyone wanting to host a “once in a lifetime event,” they absolutely must host the “world’s largest live sporting event.” When the offer came in, 50 called Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg to discuss it, but was ultimately turned down. It’s unclear if knowledge of the offer reached Em directly.

Because of the Super Bowl, I got a request for the World Cup. They had a budget of $9 million for it. So you wanted to give – I would have taken one, Big. Then the other eight would have been for Em. I called and spoke to Paul and everyone around him. They said, ‘He won’t do it.’

The G-Unit mogul also opened up about how his performance with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige caught the attention of FIFA officials at last year’s award-winning Super Bowl Halftime Show. The “In Da Club” hitmaker revealed more details about the upcoming album, which he plans to release later this year, explaining that Dr. Dre will contribute to the project. You can watch the interview below.
