After a long voting process, LEGO IDEAS has announced a winner for its “50 years of Dungeons and Dragons” Competition. The winning modeldesigned by BoltBricks, made it past four other finalists and becomes an official LEGO set.

Note: The images in this article show a BoltBricks fan model. This model has won the LEGO IDEAS design competition and will be made into a real LEGO set. However, the final product will look different than the BoltBricks fan model.

The fan model “Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End” includes almost 3,000 parts. It’s a very robust design – a large green dragon sits on top of a tower, flanked by a small tavern, dungeon and cave. (By the way, there’s a purple ogre hiding in the cave. What, isn’t that the real name?)

All these scenes are connected, so you can use Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End during real DND games. Plus, you can use the included doors to create new routes for each game. Additionally, this fan model uses five minifigures to represent some of the character classes in DND.

Like all LEGO IDEAS winners, this design will change before it is officially launched. LEGO hasn’t announced a release date, but presumably this set will appear when the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie comes out in March 2023.

By the way, you can view all entries for this competition on the LEGO IDEAS website.
