He was also appointed co-chair of the Legislative Working Group. He recently served in the 100th Legislative Territory.

According to the Connecticut House Liberal website, Williams was the first African American to address the city of Middletown at the Connecticut General Assembly. In 2011 he became the city’s finance officer and was reappointed in 2015. Williams was elected to serve on the Preparatory and Editorial Board in 2007 and was duly elected to the seat in 2009.

State banners were asked to be rushed to half-staff in Williams’ honors by lead representative Ned Lamont.

The first vehicle in some time detonated after stopping on the left shoulder, and the driver was pronounced dead there.
