Jessica Chastain has responded to the viral campaign to cast her in Netflix’s The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
The 45-year-old actress, who recently appeared on the streamer show The Good Nurse, addressed the campaign during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen.

Fans have been fighting since news broke that Netflix will be adapting Taylor Jenkins Reid’s beloved novel, with Liz Tigelaar writing the film, producers Liza Chasin for 3Dot Productions and Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion.
In case you don’t know, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is about a reclusive, iconic Hollywood starlet, Evelyn Hugo, who hires unknown reporter Monique Grant to write her comprehensive book chronicling her life story and becoming famous throughout the film becomes Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Fans have lobbied for Jessica to be cast as Celia St. James, who is a co-actress and close confidant of Evelyn in the novel.
When asked about the viral campaign, Jessica was excited about the project.
“I know there’s a thing online about it. Sure, send me a script,” she said on the show.
