The AJC reports that 17-year-old Ian Maman was the victim of a horrific collision on Interstate 75 north of Atlanta in which his vehicle went out of control before bouncing off a wall and reversing into traffic, only to be hit again .
“When he was spinning — he was hit from the back of the car forward — they just hit him everywhere,” Harris told AJC.
Concerned for Maman’s well-being without even knowing him, Harris stopped and tried to help him in any way he could.
“My first instinct is someone could get stuck in the car, the car could explode and just try to get them out of the car asap,” Harris said.
Maman lost his phone amid the chaos, so Harris called 911, as did Maman’s parents. Harris’ kindness wasn’t lost on the 17-year-old’s mother, Debbie Diamond, who told AJC she was “forever grateful” to Harris.
“I’m sure he was busy getting to his family, but he did the right thing. As a parent, I will forever be grateful to him,” Diamond said.
The We Get Busy rapper uploaded the article’s caption to his Instagram page, explaining that his actions are part of “God’s plan.”

Several fans commented under his photo and agreed with his caption.
One of his pinned comments was a lengthy reply from his wife, Love and Hip Hop: New York star Yandy Smith-Harris, who mentioned that reading the full article gave her chills and wished others would see that side of him would see to the one typically shown by the media.
“We need more of you in the world. This is the side of you I wish the world would know. I’ll post the whole article in a moment. You were a true angel who put you in danger,” she wrote.
In 2015, Harris was sentenced to 10 years in prison for being part of a drug trafficking ring that included heroin and cocaine. After completing a plea bargain, Harris’ sentence was reduced to eight years, and after completing parenting, substance abuse, nutrition, and public speaking courses, Harris received an additional year from his conviction.
2020 was a New York native released from prison. That trip was a big part of his and Smith’s story for LHH.
Some of Harris’ other storylines included drama between Smith-Harris, Samantha Wallace, the mother of his eldest son, Mendeecees Jr., and Erika DeShaz, the mother of his second son, Aasim Harris.
