The Addams Family always has two snaps, and now we know that Tim Burton’s Wednesday will have at least two seasons. Netflix just officially announced that the smash streaming series will be back for season two, with star Jenna Ortega returning.

“It’s been incredible to create a show that resonates with people around the world,” said showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar Tudum. “[We’re] excited to continue the tortuous journey into season two on Wednesday. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the crazy, spooky world of Nevermore. I just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool before then.”

Even with his brand name and star power in front of and behind the camera, few could have predicted just how big Wednesday was going to be. Some of the stats provided by Netflix about the show are as follows:

Wednesday is now one of the most successful series of all time on Netflix. With 1.237 billion viewers in the first 28 days, it ranks second on the most popular (English) TV list. More than 182 million households have watched the series since its debut. (1,237B hours divided by 6.8 hours) Wednesday has surpassed the 1 billion hour view mark just three weeks after debut – making it the third title to break the milestone in its first 28 days, alongside Stranger Things 4 and Squid Game has reached. The series broke the record for most hours watched in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix – not once, but twice – when it debuted at No. 1 with a record-breaking 341.23 million hours watched, and again 1 second week with a staggering 411.29 million hours viewed.
