The 12-year-old boy was crossing the street when he was hit by a gold sedan fleeing the scene.

Westborough Police are searching for a gold limousine in connection with the hit-and-run Thursday afternoon of a 12-year-old boy.

The boy was within a designated crosswalk as he was crossing West Main Street from Milk Street at around 4:30pm when he was struck by the right front of a gold sedan, which failed to stop, Westborough Police said said in a social media post. The vehicle continued west on West Main Street after making contact with the child.

“Fortunately, this 12-year-old boy was examined by the Westborough Fire Department and found not to be seriously injured. A witness to this incident reports that the vehicle in question is a gold-colored sedan,” police said in the statement.

Anyone with information can contact Westborough Officer Joe Lawer by calling 508-475-4871 or emailing [email protected].

“Any information is helpful, we thank you for the continued support and help from our community,” police said.
