Prince Harry is open about the prejudices he once had before his relationship with Meghan Markle.
The 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex promoted her book with an interview 60 minuteswhich will air on Sunday evening (January 8).
Harry spoke to journalist Anderson Cooper about how Meghan was treated by the British press in comparison to other women inducted into the royal family, such as Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles.
In the interview, Harry admitted he was “probably bigoted” before falling for Meghan.

“What Meghan had to go through was in a way similar to what [Princess] Kate and what Camilla, [Queen Consort,] went through – very different circumstances,” Harry said. “But then you add the racing element, which the press – the British press – reacted to immediately. I was incredibly naive about it. I had no idea the British press was so bigoted. Heck, I was probably bigoted before dating Meghan.”
Anderson replied, “Do you think you were bigoted before dating Meghan?”
Harry replied, “I don’t know. Let’s put it this way, I didn’t see what I see now.”
The interview was given to promote Harry’s new book, Spare, which is due out on Tuesday.
