It seems the former WWE Chairman is aiming for a big comeback — even at the age of nearly 80. Will he wrestle the likes of an apparently immortal Hulk Hogan in another WrestleMania knock-down drag-out? Will he move into an angle where he defeats Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title, or will he join the modern day Headshrinkers, Roman Reigns and co.

acc Ringside NewsVince McMahon has one to plan to make a big WWE return, and he’s performing it right before our eyes. The companys share is on the rise as McMahon’s plan to return and sell the sports-entertainment giant appears to be underway.

WWE Talents are “devastated” by Vince McMahon’s plan to come back, according to a report from Fightful’s Paywall. He plans to use the company’s upcoming television rights deals to put him back in control. If he can pull this off, it will drastically derail what Triple H is building, something everyone is very happy with, or maybe WAS.

Fightful has heard from dozens within WWE. No one in any department — talent, production, creative, or general staff — received any information when the news broke.

“Not a bit, but considering some people from his regime were held for so long, they must have known it was going to happen. We’ll see if they talk to us tomorrow,” one WWE talent told Fightful, referring to the upcoming Jan. 6 taping of Smackdown.

Last month, WSJ reported Vince McMahon had told people close to him that he hoped to return, but didn’t say in what capacity. WWE sources came out of the woodwork to let Fightful know — albeit anonymously — that McMahon was generally not wanted back.

If Vince sells to the likes of Ari and WME (William Morris Endeavor), a Beverly Hills-based talent agency, WWE and every performer on their roster could be a hit. Hopefully the sale doesn’t go through.

One talent told he’s concerned about layoffs: “I can’t count how many interviews I read or spoke to outside of the company that said ‘Vince liked me but I got fired.’ He didn’t like you, he didn’t like any of them. He fired, otherwise they wouldn’t have been fired during a pandemic,” said a concerned person above.
